Charlotte Downs is celebrating her 10-year anniversary with Women’s Giving Circle! She joined in 2014 and became a Lifetime Member in 2017. Charlotte, a 1984 graduate of the University of Arkansas, lives in Little Rock and retired in 2022 after 25 years in the pharmaceutical / biotech industry. During her career, she enjoyed her involvement with Women’s Leadership Development groups and projects.

“It is an honor to work with this outstanding group. WGC membership is comprised of women with various experience and a common desire to support innovative research and inspirational projects at the U of A. We unite each year on campus for our annual Voting Day. During this time, grant proposal presentations are made by various U of A departments and organizations, and WGC members collaborate on awarding our combined funds. I look forward to Voting Day and am in awe of the presentations EVERY year.

Important research and amazing projects are alive and well at the University of Arkansas! The passion and camaraderie show by our group is exhilarating. At the close of voting day each year, I am certain that each one of us made a difference for others.
