About our Annual Voting Day…

Members gather together during Voting Day to hear dynamic presentations from grant applicants and collaborate with fellow members to award funding to worthy campus projects. As a member of the Women’s Giving Circle, you have the opportunity to vote for the programs to which the pooled membership funding will be awarded. This is an exciting day and a very rewarding experience as a member of the Women’s Giving Circle.

2022 Voting Day

The Women’s Giving Circle awarded $100,000 to nine university programs and two endowed scholarships during its 2022 annual voting event, supporting initiatives for women and children such as improvement of self-esteem in women, job training in the arts for at-risk youth, increasing diversity in agriculture education, and addressing eating disorders and weight stigma on campus. WGC 2022 International Women’s Day Celebration

A celebration of the accomplishments of women and a call to action to continue to make positive changes in the lives of women around the world. Remarks from featured speaker Dr. Laura Jacobs and a musical performance from Dr. Lia Uribe.

 WGC 2021 Voting Meeting

On Tuesday, October 12, 2021, 12 campus programs were awarded over $100,000.00 in grant funding at the Voting Meeting, held virtually for a second year.

Come as You Arkansas

In celebration of the university’s sesquicentennial, the campus and greater community were invited to attend an all-day, progressive style event to highlight the U of A’s mission, vision, history and future. The Women’s Giving Circle featured 2020 grant recipient Dr. Jennifer Mortenson, who shared a display and model of the U of A SOARS program on the Old Main Lawn. 

Virtual Summer Social 

Featuring new member and Executive Chef Lobat Siahmakoun Bayyari and member Stacia Giese, this Zoom event provided an informal time to share and connect with fellow members.

International Women’s Day  Celebration 2021

A virtual panel discussion celebrating women’s achievements and a conversation about how women can continue to be empowered through opportunities in education, leadership and philanthropy.
